Kashta is Nubia's cousin and once betrothed.
Storyline[]
Kashta was born into the Leopard Clan, in Nubia, Egypt. His father would beat his mother if she did not obey him. Before Venalicius and his slave traders tore his Clan apart, Kashta was betrothed to his cousin Nubia.
Years later, Nubia, who was thought dead or enslaved, appears again with a boy named Chrysis. Kashta is overjoyed to see her again and to learn that his great friend and Nubia's brother, Taharqo, still lives. He expects Nubia to stay and marry him. When she refuses, saying that she now realises that Ostia has become her home, he becomes aggressive, threatening to beat her if she does not agree to wed him.

Although Kashta is smiley and pleasant most of the time, he has a vicious streak, which shows when he threatens to beat Nubia if she does not marry him.
