Megara is the past neighbour of Aristo and Dion; she dresses as "Nikos", a beggar boy.

Megara appears in The Fugitive from Corinth, dressed like a beggar, and pretending to be a boy called Nikos. In fact, she is a shy, pretty girl who fell in love with Dion, Aristo's brother, despite him never noticing her. When he is on the run after wounding Marcus, his brother's employer, Megara does all she can to help him. She does not like Aristo, as he brighter and more talented than Dion; she feels that Dion is always overlooked. At the end of the book, everything is cleared up, and Dion finally falls in love with Megara.
