Titus Tascius Pomponianus is a Roman senator and friend of Pliny the Elder, Introduced in The Secrets of Vesuvius, he dies in the eruption, like Pliny and Rectina, he actually existed. He is Rectina's husband, father of Vulcan, Clio, and many adopted children. Not the god Vulcan, but he has many things in common with the god.[]
